The key factors causing the cracking failure of stainless steel bearings are defects and overload. When the load exceeds the bearing limit of the material, the part will crack and fail.
During the operation of stainless steel bearing, there are defects such as large foreign debris, cracks, shrinkage cavities, bubbles, local burning and overheated structure, which is easy to cause impact overload and crack failure in the actual use and operation. In addition, the bearing with defects will crack due to vibration during operation, which is defect cracking.
When manufacturers manufacture stainless steel bearings, they generally carry out inspection, forging and heat treatment on raw materials, effectively control the quality, and try to avoid defects through a series of process flows.
Therefore, under normal circumstances, most of the current cracking and failure of stainless steel bearings are overload failure.
Stainless steel bearing has excellent performance because of its strict process and good characteristics of the materials used. However, due to the environment in which it is used, it needs to be lubricated frequently.
However, because the lubricating oil will continue to oxidize in the air and produce acidic substances, which will cause bearing corrosion, it is necessary to pay attention to the corrosion resistance of the material when using stainless steel bearings.
In order to better reduce the cracking failure caused by overload of stainless steel bearing, it is also necessary to ensure that multiple materials have corresponding wear resistance and fatigue resistance. Because the bearing needs long-term operation, if there is no good wear resistance and fatigue resistance, it will fail and crack soon.
